Shea Butter is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties. But not all Shea Butters are created equal. Plantworx uses only organic unrefined Shea Butter that not gone through any refining process so it still holds 100% of its natural skin benefits.

 Cupuaçu Seed Butter is from the seeds of the Amazonian Rainforest tree, Theobroma Grandiflorum.  Cupuaçu’s ability to penetrate the skin quickly (transdermal penetration), and then retain moisture, is unparalleled and far superior to any other moisturising oil.  Cupuaçu Butter has been clinically tested to retain 440% of its weight in water, which means that 1 kg of  Cupuaçu Butter can absorb 4.4 kg of water under stirring before any division of phases was noted. 

Cupuacu butter is an excellent emollient that restores elasticity to the skin while providing anti-oxidants and hydration.

It is considered a ‘‘super-moisturiser’’ because of its hydrophilic (water-loving) properties. As it carries water to the skin it makes skin supple, soft and more elastic.

This deep hydration makes the skin smooth and soft to the touch. Nature could not have provided a better solution to dry, dehydrated or fragile skin.

Of greatest importance in the Plantworx Hand & Body Sanitiser is that it retains the water against the skin allowing the Alcohol to rapidly evaporate without dehydrating your skin.

NUT ALLERGIES:

The relationship of proteins from Shea Nut Butter or Cupuaçu Seed Butter to other nuts or peanut has not been reported.

The FDA does include Shea Nut Butter or Cupuaçu Seed Butter in food labelling laws.

The question of whether topical applications of skin-care products could result in sensitisation to the residual protein has not been extensively investigated.

However, there are no reports of either topical immediate allergic reactions or reactions from the ingestion of Shea Nut Butter or Cupuaçu Seed Butter.

Although allergy to these products is theoretically possible, the above information suggests that the minimal available protein in these products makes allergy to them, including for those with nut allergies, very unlikely.
